European Path E1 – Umbrian Section
Currently, The European Path E1, the longest cross-border path connecting he North Cape (in Norway) with Cape Passero in Sicily, crosses the entire European continent from north to south.
Its total length, mostly walkable, is over 6000 km. It was finally completed by the end of 2010. The Italian side is maintained by FIE.
The Umbrian stretch, from Bocca Trabaria (Tuscany) to Castelluccio di Norcia was designed and charted by the first members of VUT-FIE in Foligno and now the various Regional FIE divisions are updating the route.
In 2016 the tract from Bagnara di Norcera Umbra to Colfiorito, and from there to Castelluccio di Norcia were designed and charted.
It follows the most beautiful areas of the Umbria-Marche Apennines all the way to the spectacular scenery of the Sibillini Mountains – Download the track GPX
