Preci Sentiero degli eremiti

L’itinerario che vi proponiamo ci porta nel territorio di Preci alla scoperta dei più importanti luoghi eremitici che hanno reso famosa la Val Castoriana. Si inizia dalla Chiesa di S. Salvatore a Campi basso (m. 716) e, attraverso sentieri e mulattiere si giunge all’eremo (ora cappella) di S.Macario (m. 1000) in un punto molto panoramico, attrezzato per i pic-nic. Proseguendo si perviene alla frazione di Valle e, per panoramico sentiero, all’eremo di S. Fiorenzo (m. 980) attualmente abitato da un monaco polacco che ne cura il recupero e la manutenzione. Nei pressi sono visibili i resti delle grotte scavate a partire dal V secolo da monaci siriani in fuga dalle persecuzioni. The route that we propose takes us into the territory of Preci to discover the most important places hermit who made famous the Val Castoriana. It starts from the Church of St. Saviour low Fields (M. 716), and through paths and trails will take you to the hermitage (now the chapel) of S.Macario (d. 1000) in a panoramic point, equipped for picnics. Continuing it reaches the hamlet of Valle, for scenic trail, the hermitage of San Fiorenzo (m. 980) currently inhabited by a Polish monaco that takes care of the restoration and maintenance. In the vicinity are the ruins of the caves carved from the fifth century by Syrian monks fleeing persecution….
