Sacro Speco di San Benedetto a Subiaco

Camminando tra Spiritualita’ Arte e Natura alla scoperta del Monastero di San Benedetto denominato “Sacro Speco”
“Soglia del Paradiso”, come lo definì il Petrarca; “Nido di rondini”, come apparve a Pio II nel 1461, sorge addossato all’aspra parete rocciosa del monte Talèo, a dominio della Valle Santa del fiume Aniene. E’ costituito da due chiese sovrapposte e da cappelle, volte, scale, associate in modo irregolare, seguendo la curvatura della roccia. Luogo fondamentale del monachesimo benedettino e prima grande meta del Cammino di San Benedetto.
Nascosto alla vista da una Natura rigogliosa, con una Spiritualità latente ed un’arte sublime … lo sguardo è rapito, il respiro si mozza, il cuore perde un battito davanti a tanta bellezza. E vieni improvvisamente catapultato ai tempi di Benedetto e Francesco.

Il Monte Cardamagna panorami sull’Urbinate

Tra i due monti scorre il Rio Vitoschio incassato tra pareti strapiombanti e rivestito di boschi quasi impenetrabili. Noi cammineremo dapprima sul boscoso fianco nord del Nerone per poi attraversare il Vitoschio e incominciare a risalire i fianchi del Cardamagna, attraverso boschi, prati e tratti rocciosi, fino a conquistarne la cima dalla quale godremo di bei panorami sulle colline e le montagne di Urbino.
Al ritorno percorreremo una via in parte diversa, ma sempre di grande bellezza naturalistica e paesaggistica. La Federazione Italiana Escursionismo insieme alla azienda di abbigliamento tecnico sportivo Montura, hanno organizzato un evento escursionistico a Castelluccio, unitamente ad una lotteria a premi, il cui ricavato sarà devoluto per la realizzazione di una struttura a Castelluccio.

Un’escursione organizzata nel pieno rispetto del difficile momento che queste popolazioni stanno attraversando, evitando atti cinici di qualsiasi genere.

La nostra presenza, oltre a portare un aiuto concreto a queste popolazioni,ha testimoniato il nostro amore e il nostro legame con quella terra, che spesso ci ha accolto da escursionisti.

Una presenza responsabile e silenziosa, come è giusto che sia. Le difficili condizioni nelle quali quei territori versano ancora, e le stringenti limitazioni ai quali sono sottoposti, ci obbligano a seguire delle PRECISE REGOLE in termini di rispetto degli orari e modalità di svolgimento dell’evento.

An organized excursion in full respect of the difficult time these populations are crossing, avoiding cynical acts of any kind.

Our presence, besides bringing concrete help to these peoples, has witnessed our love and our bond with that land, which is often welcomed by hikers.
