2 ottobre 2016 Con questa escursione andremo a conoscere due importanti siti religiosi della nostra regione e successivamente un’azienda agricola del tifernate dedita al recupero di antiche specie di frutta.
Il nostro cammino inizia dall’Abbazia medievale di San Salvatore di Montecorona di cui visiteremo la
bella chiesa per poi salire utilizzando un antico percorso quasi completamente selciato e immerso in
un fitto bosco fino all’Eremo situato a ca. 700 mt sulla cima del monte omonimo. Da qui scenderemo
sul versante opposto e, con un percorso ad anello, riprenderemo il sentiero di salita.
Dopo la sosta pranzo raggiungeremo l’azienda della Fondazione Archeologia Arborea per una visita
guidata al frutteto dove potremo conoscere varietà di frutta solo fino a pochi anni fa dati per scomparsi.
This tour will enable you to know two important religious sites of our region and
then a farm of tifernate dedicated to the recovery of old fruit species. The
our journey begins medieval Abbey of San Salvatore Montecorona of which will visit the
beautiful church and then climb using an ancient path almost completely paved and surrounded by
a dense forest to the hermitage located ca. 700 meters on top of the homonymous mountain. From here descend
on the opposite side and, with a circular route, we resume the path of ascent.
After the lunch break we will reach the company of Arborea Archaeology Foundation for a visit
tour of the orchard where we can learn about fruit varieties only until a few years ago data
for disappeared.
